The Inheritance by Nora Roberts

The first installment in The Lost Brides Trilogy, The Inheritance is one of my favorites from Nora Roberts.

Present day –Sonya MacTavish has inherited everything from an uncle (her father’s twin) she never knew existed. Within the mix is a Victorian house on the coast of Maine. She is on her own now after a painful breakup and retreats to the old house. Stipulated in the will, Sonya must live in the house for three years. It’s haunted, of course, by the ghost of Astrid, the first “Lost Bride” who was murdered in 1806 (on her wedding day) and vows never to leave.

I’m looking forward to the second installment, The Mirror, soon to be released. Is Sonya the next lost bride?
