Book Review

The Shop on Royal Street

Karen White’s stories are usually set in the south and I always look forward to them. This author is one of my favorites, and her amazing descriptions never disappoint. In The Shop on Royal Street, she captures the struggle of restoring a crumbling old house in New Orleans during the hot and sticky humid days of summer. Ghosts are found to be inhabiting the house and don’t want to leave. Enter an old flame who can communicate with them. It’s the story of finding one’s way independently and closure to an unexpected tragedy for another that brings this first book in a series to an exciting end. Can’t wait for Book 2!
